Lucy's career in charity fundraising began 15 years ago, when she moved from marketing and PR roles in the commercial sector. During those years, she has worked and gained experience across various disciplines and causes in a range of fundraising roles, including as an interim manager and as a consultant.

Lucy believes that, in challenging times, problems are opportunities to deliver positive change, and she is highly valued for her ability to deliver that change by leading cross-functional teams to manage projects simply and efficiently.

Known for her intuitive and supportive management style, with a strong focus on ongoing coaching and development, Lucy has led teams to achieve their full potential and deliver transformational growth. Most recently, as Director of Supporter-led Fundraising at Alzheimer’s Research UK, she restructured and built a team from just 8 people to 38, and developed new fundraising products and propositions, including the charity's first virtual running fundraising event. She led the team that won and delivered the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon partnership; one of the most successful partnerships in UK charity history.
