Dawn has worked in the non-profit sector for nearly 20 years, starting in supporter care, moving into data management and then into fundraising and marketing, completing a Post-Graduate diploma in Charity Marketing and Fundraising.

She has undertaken many roles within non-profits, from employee to trustee, consultant to volunteer, and of course as a donor and supporter. She served in the UK on the board of the Institute of Fundraising as an elected Trustee, and also on the Finance and Standards Committees. Past engagements include international development (WaterAid, UNICEF), homelessness (Depaul), health and hospice (Sue Ryder), animal welfare (World Animal Protection, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home), mental health (Mind) and museums, arts and heritage (Royal Museums Greenwich, British Museum).

Dawn is a natural, organized leader and planner, with both strategic and operational understanding across the areas of data, systems, fundraising and marketing. Juliette started her career in the fundraising division of the British Red Cross and worked for eight years there, completing a not-for-profit sector management diploma, before life took her to Canada.

As the Office Manager for a construction company in Alberta, she developed her administrative skills, honed her organizational flair and, with the voluntary sector very much part of her make-up, put these skills to great use in various volunteer roles in the community. Known for her attention to detail, her friendly nature and incessant cheerfulness, Juliette is the natural hub of our THINK Canada team.

Michelle has senior management experience in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Her early career was spent in high street fashion retail, and her experience in the sector dates from 1993 and encompasses a wide range of causes spanning heritage, education and mainstream charity. Michelle has managed most of the major fundraising activity streams throughout her career, and is adept at developing fundraising strategy at both overall and stream-specific level. 

As a consultant, Michelle has significant experience in working with both international and UK clients, and thrives on challenge and delivering practical recommendations for implementation.  She is a frequent presenter at fundraising conferences around the world.

Objectives and results orientated, Michelle combines strategic thinking skills with operational delivery, applying practical implementation to the creative idea.

Rob is a seasoned fundraising practitioner, drawing on over thirty years of varied senior fundraising experience.  He has worked in senior leadership roles at a range of charities, and as a consultant has worked in all areas of Canada’s charitable sector, including health care, education, arts and social services.

With experience across the entire spectrum of fundraising disciplines, Rob specializes in strategic planning and major gift fundraising, working on program design, implementation and reporting to accelerate and transform major gift programs.  

Rob is Past Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Canada and served on the Provincial Board of the Ontario Trillium Foundation. He holds a Master’s degree in Philanthropy and is a faculty member for the Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Carleton University.  He has authored a number of books, sharing his passion for excellence in Canadian fundraising.

Stefanie brings to the THINK stable her nearly 20-years of experience in fundraising, corporate development and marketing in traditional charity and other not-for-profit organizations. Having managed a variety of successful programs for causes in healthcare, education, international development and financial services, Stefanie is an effective leader in various settings, encouraging collaboration and providing clear communication. She has acted in the role of Executive Director for the last eight years.  

Stefanie serves as treasurer on the governing council of Neurological Health Charities Canada, an alliance of 14 of the country’s leading neurological health charities. She is an instructor for George Brown College’s Fundraising Certificate Program and teaches a course on proposal writing.

Karen has successfully created, elevated and brought to life a variety of events and programs over the past 20 years within the charitable sector including healthcare, children’s charities, independent school and university foundations. Through leadership engagement, persistence and strategic vision Karen has planned and created events and programs that drive success for the client. She excels at, and enjoys the intensity and challenges associated with, developing, championing and executing new and ongoing initiatives.

Karen spent time in the independent school system, then as an event lead for a large healthcare charity where she led a team executing multiple signature events. Karen then took a short sabbatical to travel parts of Asia, returning four months later with a fresh perspective, new ideas and a lifelong spark for travel. Following this she moved to a children’s charity, then to the private sector, advising on events and fundraising. More recently, Karen has provided her services as a consultant for a Toronto-based software consulting company and Autism Canada where she was brought in to analyze current programs, develop a new national event and start a major gifts program. Karen is now excited to be a part of THINK, where her passion for supporting philanthropic initiatives through strategically-executed fundraising programs will be utilized.

Karen enjoys empowering others by developing their confidence to be successful, especially during challenging new situations. She is skilled at building and maintaining collaborative relationships by proactively developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships inside or outside an organization. She holds MBA from North Park University, Chicago, Illinois, a BA in Political Science from Carleton University and her CFRE.

Nicky began her career as a drama teacher, and moved in to the not-for-profit sector to work for Help the Aged, where she applied her educational experience to Read More

Nicky began her career as a drama teacher, and moved in to the not-for-profit sector to work for Help the Aged, where she applied her educational experience to schools fundraising. This role gave her the opportunity to develop her fundraising skills across the whole community fundraising area, and she rose through the ranks to head up these activities for the charity.

Nicky went on to work as a fundraising consultant for nine years, during which time she managed teams across all fundraising disciplines, whilst specializing in trusts and foundations. 

Nicky then brought her sector experience to the THINK stable.
